THOUGHTS ABOUT LIFE + A SNACK RECIPE


I feel like this month has been zooming by and I can't keep up! I have a month left of school which means finals are quickly approaching (yay). Snow has started to melt and I can't help but dream of summer and the warmth of the sun.

Realizing how fast time is going is kind of scary to me because that's when I notice that I'm not necessarily taking advantage of the days passing by. I've been trying to fix that and one thing I found that helped is to focus on positives instead of negatives. I know it sounds obvious, but I personally needed a reality check to remind myself how fortunate and privileged I am. I find we often detach ourselves from the bigger picture. We live on this cloud where we're so focused on our own little problems that we forget about the good things we do have. 

This week I've been trying to see thing more in a "my glass is half full, not half empty" kind of way and it's making me realize how complaining is all I do with some of my friends. How is complaining and focusing on negative things going to help me see thing in a more positive light and make me feel happy? I want to practice initiating conversations and focusing on good things. And also turning around more negative ones to help keep it light and beneficial instead of negative and heavy. 

I only had a little to say on this subject for the moment so I thought I would include a recipe I did this week that's delicious and super easy! 


Chia Peanut Butter Protein Balls


I got the recipe on Pinterest, from veganfamilyrecipes.com. I've been looking for quick and easy snacks to try out and this one is perfect! The recipe is super easy to follow and takes around 5 minutes to do, maybe 10 if you're doing it with little ones. You can find the delicious recipe here








I also wanted to share this video with you of the cutest kid getting a haircut. I saw it this morning and it made my day!
