AN OPEN LETTER TO 2015

2015 what a year you have been. Definitely in my top 3 of toughest years I've had to endure. But although there were definitely some tough times, you were also a very great year. You gave me the courage to seek help for my mental illnesses, you gave me the courage to come out to my family, you made me stronger than I've ever been before. It was a year of speaking out and becoming stronger.

So many things happened it's hard to figure out where to begin. Daphne and I spent the whole summer together and because of that we really got the blog running, and since then we've been a force to be reckon with. We have so many goals that we want to achieve for the blog and can't wait to reach them next year and all the years after that.

There were also so many things that happened on a global scale, the Syrian refugee crisis, the Black Lives Matter is still as strong as ever, feminist issues, the Supreme Court ruling for gay marriage, the presidential run. Never in my life have I spoken out about prejudices as much as I did this year. And even when I get into heated debates with people I'm always glad that I do. If I change at least one persons perspective then I've done good.

2015, thank you! Thank you for preparing me for the next year, you were a whirlwind of a year and prepared me for the years to come and I will always be grateful for that, even if you did make me lose my mind a bit.

Dear 2016, you have so many possibilities I'm a bit scared about you coming into my life. Please don't be harsh.

xx, Kristine
