The Little Things

Thanksgiving went by already for our fellow Canadians, but for us Americans, Thanksgiving is right around the corner. So what better post to write than to talk about the little things we're thankful for? We were both on Skype and decided to write down a list of some of things we were thankful for, when we read them to each other we found that we had some things the same and the ones that were different we were also thankful for those things. So here's a list of the little things we're both thankful for, and maybe you'll be thankful for too. Please let us know what you're thankful for in the comments :-) Happy Thanksgiving !

I’m thankful for the people that are a part of my life. I’m thankful for my family, my best friends, and the people I meet for a brief moment. I’m also thankful for the ones that I used to know; the people who have left so many unforgettable memories but who were washed away by the course of life. I’m thankful for the privileged life I have been living. For the roof over my head, food on my plate, and unconditional love.

I’m thankful for late nights and late mornings, where I don’t have a single worry in the world and fight sleep just because I can bask in the luxury of sleeping in all day.

I’m thankful for early nights and early mornings, where I know I need to be up at the crack of dawn which results in me being asleep by the time people go out for drinks. Waking up before sun rises and seeing the amount of potential the day has.

I'm thankful for the bad days in life, for the not so great days, for the meh days, because without them, I wouldn't really appreciate the good ones. I wouldn't be able to treasure just how good the good days are. And when there are bad days, I just know that a really good day is right around the corner.

I'm thankful for music, and thankful that I'm able to dance to my favorite songs, and able to belt out my favorite tune without any worry in the world. And I'm so so so thankful that I'm able to go to concerts and feel so connected with other people when we're all singing our favorite songs and dancing to them.

I'm thankful for the memories my phone is able to capture. Although I never print out all the pictures, it's nice knowing that I can always go back and see pictures from the summer or even from the beginning of the year. It's great to look at them and remember exactly how I was feeling when the picture was taken and what it was that I was doing.

I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to pursue anything my heart desires. I’m thankful for the moments I have with my friends where we can debate and share our opinions and contemplate the meaning of nothing and everything. I’m thankful for being healthy, alive and me.

P.S. Last year we also wrote a thankful post which you can check out here :-)

  1. I love this post so much! Such great things to be thankful for! The concert unity thing, I TOTALLY get. Nothing better than being connected to strangers, sharing the same experience. You have a super lovely blog :)

    1. Thank you !! We absolutely love concerts and going to them, and it's such a great experience. Especially when afterward when you listen to a song you get the feeling you had when you were at the concert. Music is just a great experience in general :)
