What We're Watching | 02

"Darkness scares us.
We yearn for the comfort of light
as it provides shape and form
allowing us to recognize,
to define what's before us.

But what is it we're afraid of, really?
Not the darkness itself
but the truth we know
hides within."

- Emily Thorne

If there is one show that I have been hooked on for the longest time this st it. Currently running on it's fourth season as we speak, Revenge is the best mix of my three favourite tv series genres which are thriller, mystery, and drama. I had heard many great things about it but couldn't be bothered with it; it seemed like an overly dramatic tv show à la Gossip Girl which is not my cup of tea.

I can tell you now that pressing play on the pilot of this series is in my top three best choices i've made in a while - next to seeing Nick Jonas in the flesh and getting a cat. -

Now let me try to very briefly tell you what this show is about, because I tend to get really excited about these things as you can clearly see.

Scratch that let me give you the IMDb description of the show:

"The daughter of a framed executive makes it her mission to infiltrate upper Hamptons society and exact revenge on the people who set her father up."

Two of the main characters are badass women (Emily Thorne a.k.a Amanda Clark and Victoria Grayson) who are willing to do whatever it takes for their loved ones, take no orders from anyone, and are experts in sabotaging people's lives. - Tell me that doesn't tickle your fancy. - This show is surprisingly unpredictable and the storyline turns left and right when you least expect it. There is a lot of character deaths and torture scenes; if that is something you like to stay away from.

Revenge is a show that keeps you on the edge of your seat; or if you're like me, you end up with your face two centimeters away from your computer screen, screaming profanities.

Are you a fan of Revenge? If not, what shows are you grossly passionate about?
