Very recently I kind of got myself in a bit of rut. So many things have been happeneing, I feel like I've been at the eye of the storm. With everything happening in Ferguson - links here, here, and here - , holidays coming up, and finals right around the corner, I've been running around like a headless chicken. 

When I find myself in these situations, I like to step back and breathe a little. I get a notepad out and start writing all the things that I need to get done, starting with what I think is most important first. And with the holidays sneaking up on us, and right around the corner, I decided that this year will be the year that I do christmas shopping early. I've given myself a budget and written down how much all gifts would cost and when I plan on buying them, to be safe with shipping and also my budget. 

Once I see everything written down in a nice orderly fashion, that is when I'm finally able to breathe. Only few things are as satisfying as crossing off things off a very important to do list.
